What exactly does Bindwood DO?

Asked by grey tomorrow

Checking the plug-ins and extensions i use, i see that Firefox in Ubuntu automatically installs a plug-in called 'bindwood'. I see that from the Bindwood page that it's a plug-in to allow Firefox to connect to a CouchDB server. Yeah, well...what does that mean to me? Why would i want that? There's absolutely no further explanation.

It is used to sync your Firefox bookmarks with Ubuntu One.

Thanks. Might be a good idea to state that somewhere obvious on the front page.

Yes, I agree. I deactivated it as soon as I found out what it was for, because I don't use Ubuntu One. Please make this more obvious.
