BIND not starting

Recently I have installed and configured BIND 9 as Caching Name Server. But just after the configuration restarted BIND with this output:

Stopping domain name service....bind9
rndc: connect failed: 127.0.0.1#953: connection refused

I have googled many sites for getting the solution

Please get me a solution for this, Im new to Linux.

If you have a firewall please check if it is not blocking connections. Also you can check for error messages using the following command in a terminal:

cat /var/log/messages | grep bind
