Creating bzr branch from scratch

I have some sourcecode from sf on my machine and I'd like to create a new branch on launchpad for this. I managed to create a new branch in launchpad but it is empty. How do I get the local sourcecode in the branch?

I overlooked bzr add. Everything else was right.
