shotwell not detecting my phone..

when I try to select my phone in shotwell to transfer pictures in the screen shows this : The camera is locked by another application. Shotwell can only access the camera when it's unlocked. Please close any other application using the camera and try again. Id like to know how to find this other application and kill it or know what I doing wrong ..thanks

Hi Juan, sorry for the late reply, I just stumbled onto this.

In case you are running a recent version of Ubuntu, e.g. 12.10+, can you follow these steps, I think they should work.

1. Connect your phone to your computer
2. In case you have a password, pattern or face unlock set up, unlock your phone now.
3. Open the File Manager (Nautilus) and unmount the device from there, without disconnecting it from the computer.
4. After that, open Shotwell, and it should be able to access it without any problem.
