It looks like the best option is to use Barry.
to install run from terminal
sudo apt-get install barrybackup-gui barry-util

No Not for files am looking to have a backup. i wanted to install the blackberry desktop on wine so i can back it up.

Connect the blackberry, and run command
    lsusb
Is blackberry detected ?
