barcode package

Wondering if/when barcode 0.99 will be added to repo? 0.98 is from 2002, 0.99 is from 2013. Thanks!

Barcode version 0.98 is about 13 years old, and version 0.99 (https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/info-gnu/2013-03/msg00023.html) was released in 2013.

The newer version fixes some issues we were having with the way the barcodes themselves are generated. Because we use puppet to manage our servers - using puppet execs to build packages from source is generally not a best-practice.

Was just curious if this would be considered for an update!

I suggest you report a bug. If the bug and security fixes are significant then the package will be updated.
