New ubuntu user. Using Linux Mint. Banshee dissapears 15seconds after opening it

Open banshee and I can use the menus 15 seconds after opening the program closes. No notification, no error message. Just closed. Open banshee again and same thing happens. Just trying to import my music but it won't let me get that far before closing. Thanks for the help.
