Hello C00per,
Im sorry you do not like the Banshee application. I would recommend opening the Ubuntu Software Center and searching for "Music". I would recommend rhythmbox or guayadeque.

there is several music player like Beep Media Player, Mplayer etc etc. you can go ahead with any one.

But my personal recommendation is Banshee.
