itunes

the program distnote.exe has encountered a problem and has to close????
Having installed playonlinux I can get itunes to work but was ab le to set up an account!

iTunes is a real pain to get working. You can use banshee and amarok to transfer files to the device. If you REALY want iTunes and for it to run well, you will need the closed source edition of virtualbox (for USB access) and a legal version of windows with install media. You can then install the OS then install iTunes in the virtualbox.

You have a device from one of the most short sighted closed minded companies around (Apple Inc.) If you had a device from a more encompassing company you wouldn't be tied to iTunes.
