banshee not working perfectly

Binary package hint: banshee

The farward option is not working in banshee media player.when i want to farward the song it changes the song .while its other function are working like pause,resume or stop etc

As far as I know, the forward button in banshee is meant to "play the next item" (as told in the hint when you mouse over it).
If you want to fast forward (or reward) a title, you should then use the "rule" control next to it as shown in the screenshot I have attached (in green).

As Xavier Bassery said, the Forward button is supposed to play the next song, so this is not a bug. You can seek forward in the song by adjusting the horizontal slider as Xavier Bassery shows in the screenshot he posted to your original bug report.
