Helix support

Will, in any future releases, a Banshee client with Helix playback support be made available through the repositories?
Right now it uses gstreamer, but for example Suse uses the Helix version.
Why was, and still is, the choice made to use gstreamer?

I'd say you're best filing your request as a wishlist bug against banshee. You might want to request an option to select the multimedia framework used by banshee - in the same way we have totem-xine, and totem-gstreamer, there could be a banshee-gstreamer and banshee-helix perhaps.

OK,
Then I'll do that and see how it evolves.
Thanks for the answer.
