When will BackupPC be updated?

BackupPC is currently at v4.3.2 yet you still have v3 as the latest. I have downloaded and installed the latest version, but whenever I update the system I get the failure on BackupPC.

Ubuntu is copying packages from Debian (to avoid double packaging work), and also Debian has only version 3.3.2.
There is already a request in the Debian bug tracker to upgrade the version in Debian - https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=873075
As soon as Debian upgrades their version, Ubuntu will follow (in its development release).

Remark: Debian mentions version 4.4.0 as the current one https://github.com/backuppc/backuppc/releases
