Asked by Brian

Is there going to be a version for the Bionic release of Ubuntu? I query as I do not see anything in testing for Bionic either.

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/backintime shows a version for Ubuntu 18.04

On which information do you base the assumption that it does not exist?

I use the information provided at the PPAs for stable and testing here:
Stable: https://launchpad.net/~bit-team/+archive/ubuntu/stable
Testing: https://launchpad.net/~bit-team/+archive/ubuntu/testing

I get to them fia here: - https://launchpad.net/backintime -> https://launchpad.net/~bit-team

I can see not in stable, but I would think it to be in testing as it is about to be released officially. So given that it is not in testing even, I asked. But I can see from what you provided, maybe the Bionic is avail through main repo and no need for separate repo.

For package versions and availability in PPAs you have to contact the provider of the PPA.

The area where you asked this question relates to the official repositories for Ubuntu, and there is a version for bionic.

Yes, I see that. Sorry for the confusion, my mistake.
