ypbind doesn't start at boot

Asked by Hugh Caley

I have not been able to find any way to get ypbind to start up properly at boot time. Once the machine is booted I can run 'service ypbind restart' and it works fine. After that, 'service autofs restart' gives me my automounts.

On previous versions of Ubuntu I've been able to kluge something together, such as putting a restart for ypbind and autofs in /etc/rc.local. In 13.x, though, nothing I've tried or read about seems to get it working.

Add the command in /etc/rc.local above the ' exit 0 ' line. It will run as root and start the service.

Can you help with this problem?
