Obtaining Audacity for 7.04

Asked by Herman

I have a number of .ogg music files downloaded from CDs that I want to convert to .wav files so I can burn them to CDs. I have been trying to obtain Audacity using the Synaptic Package Manager but some of the files are unavailable. Is there a workaround for this problem?

Support for 7.04 ceased in October last year and the support files have been archived.

To convert your .ogg files to .wav format you do not need Audacity, you can use "Sound Converter" or "Sound Juicer".

I finally found out how to convert .ogg to .wav using Sound Juicer, so that answered my question. I still have to figure out how to get Serpentine to burn the CD. Thanks for your help.
