hi,
i test audacious again,
and i found the problem why equalizer reset to default settings.
that is when i tick the two buttons at the same time,

on equalizer face, i see "ON"- "AUTO" button.
those two buttons is use to turn on the preamp and manual equalizer settings/adjustment.
if two buttons will lit, the equalizer settings will reset to default once music file moves/shifts to
next music file/list to play..randomly..
but if turned off (un-tick) the "AUTO" button, the equalizer will not be affected every time the music/file shifts from one to next file.
i do not know if both buttons can or should be tick at the same time to improve sound quality but
not turning those two buttons ON at the same time solved the problem i am have with audacious.

opposite with experience with 9.10, both buttons can be tick at the same time with no effect to equalizer settings, but with 9.10, the "RAND"-"REP" buttons when tick at the same time will destroy
music file and disable the music random play. meaning it will stop in one particular music file.

another observation with audacious in 10.04 is the eject button on player interface.
in 9.10, when eject button is tick(click) the music browser will open, then clicking the "open" will
put the music files in audacious.
click the play button and music will play.

click again the eject button will delete the present music list in audacious and at the same time
will open the music browser/folders for users will have option to choose which music files/album to play. in short word; change music file or change disc..

click the selected music folder > open and it will be shown in audacious ready for playing.
what i mean, the playlist editor is automatically refresh by new selected album.

in 10.04, when eject button is click, both the new selected music folder and the previous music folder played before populates the playlist editor.
click again a music folder and it will add more folder to playlist editor..
again , i do not know which is the normal set up , the one in 9.10 or with 10.04

but anyway, audacious plays,
just a little confusing to new users like me..

thank you very much..

hi,
i found solution to replace music files when eject button is tick.
to change the music files/refresh playlist editor to play new file
right click the audacious top left button to display "menu"
audacious>preference>play back> tick the box in last option i.e ( clear current playlist when opening new files )> then tick close.
once eject button on audacious is ticked, the current list will be deleted and music browser will
automatically open,
user's can then have the option to select new files to play.

please cancel my question. i found the solution already..
thank you...
