Backport of missing C++ symbols fix to Trusty?

Asked by Michael Koval

The C++ Assimp API is unusable on Trusty because of the C++ missing symbols issue (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=775890). I see that 3.0~dfsg-4 is released on Wiley, but only 3.0~dfsg-2 is available on Trusty. Is it possible to backport these changes to Trusty so the C++ will be functional again?

Thanks!

I suggest that you create a bug report to request a Backport https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuBackports or SRU https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates
