Can't get APTonCD to restore discs

Asked by James R McKenzie

I need to restore 15 CDR-W's worth of DEB files created by APTonCD. When I launch the program and click the "Restore" button on the welcome screen it takes me to the "Select the packages you want from the installation disc" page. When I click "Restore" nothing happens. No "Restore APTonCD" screen asking me where the files are. The program won't go any further than the "Select The Packages" page. I actually still have the ISO files I made the discs from. I good with using either the discs or images but APTonCD won't play ball.

For the record I'm using version APTonCD 0.1.98+bzr117-1.1build2 in Ubuntu 11.04 64 bit for AMD. If more info is needed let me know.

Thanks and any help will be appreciated.

This was a known bug, that happens because hal was removed from default installation.

Refer to this https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/aptoncd/+bug/729658/comments/2 to get a workaround by just installing the hal package.

Can you help with this problem?
