how to save the upgrade.

I have 10.04 LTS version.right now.. which i upgraded from 9.10 version. I downloaded the upgrade as it does from Upgrade manager. I want to save that downloaded upgrade for future use, than simply upgrading it by logging on frequently.. how to save the upgrade as a data for future use, if i install 9.10 if any issue occurs. please help

You can install aptoncd. Provided you haven't ran:

sudo apt-get clean

You will have retained the debs. and can make a CD. You can alternatively download the alternate ISo and use that to upgrade
