Where to report a small glitch in /etc/cron.daily/apt-compat?

I am confused as to what would be the proper place to report this. Either it is this project or https://launchpad.net/apt-project or https://launchpad.net/apt. This is for 16.04.3 and apt-1.2.24. Thank you!

ubuntu-bug apt

It will start the process for you

I have uninstalled apport. Isn't there a direct way via launchpad?
