Purchased software download hangs

Asked by pobbel

Hi,

I made my first ever purchase of a software through the Ubuntu Software Centre.
The software was the game Bastion, which started to download but then hung at something like 318kB of 1.1GB.

I cancelled the download and started it again, but it just sat at Downloading 0B of 1.1GB,
I do not have any connection issues; I can install other software through the Software Centre fine.

I have tried sudo apt-get remove bastion, which replied I have not installed it.
I have tried sudo apt-get update, followed by apt-get install bastion, which hangs at "0% [working]"
I have tried rebooting, logging back in through the Software Center (File > Reinstall Previous Purchases...)
Still no go.

Linux octopod 3.13.0-29-generic #53-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jun 4 21:02:19 UTC 2014 i686 i686 i686 GNU/Linux

Any ideas?

Thanks

Pob

Have you gone to Ubuntu Software Center, Bastion, about middle of page, Support Web Site? It would be better to ask question there.

Thanks for your reply Michael.

For the record, after an apt-get clean, the install completed successfully.
I noted there was some activity on the network interface that indicated it was downloading, the dialogue did not reflect this correctly though. So I just waited for the network activity to finish.

Thanks again.
