Software center wont open

When I try to reinstall it says:

Reading package lists... Error!
E: Encountered a section with no Package: header
E: Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/au.archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_raring_main_i18n_Translation-en
E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.

Raring is EOL and no longer supported in any way. Even if you resolved the issue there are no packages to install in Raring as the repositories are disabled.

I suggest you upgrade to Saucy or even better install Trusty which is LTS and supported til April 2019.
