The PPA doesn't support your release and should be removed.

If you start adding 3rd party packages sources, don't be surprised when you get issues.

You can use software centre to remove the PPA, or delete the relevant files for the PPA in /etc/apt/sources.list.d

It's not in there. When you follow the how to guides and they suggest adding extra package sources they fail to tell users that issues can happen and this sort of thing happens as well.

What is the output of :

grep globalmenu /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*

Thanks

sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/globalmenu-team-ppa-raring.list

sudo apt-get update

Will now be smoother.
