The PPA only supports up to Oneiric
http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubun-tor/ppa/ubuntu/dists/

Not all PPAs support all releases. It should be removed.

You can use software centre. If you can give the output of:

grep -R tor /etc/apt/sources.list/*

We can advise.

I try the command from you on the terminal and it's result say "Not a directory", do i have to replace the end of your command with anything else? or i just write what you just type above??

here is the main problem mate,i have install n running tor v 0.2.3.25 from PPA before on my ubuntu12, but it just running as a daemon/service, so when i'm want to start or stop tor, i've to go to terminal first,so i try to install TOR-GUI(Vidalia) from ubuntu built in software center with different version that is v 0.2.20-1~precise so i just easy to control my TOR. but when i'm running vidalia to control my TOR it doesn't working .
Now my question, how if i remove my tor PPA through command that you suggest for me also remove my TOR service on ubuntu?
