I want to submit my app to Ubuntu repos...

I want to submit my app to Ubuntu repos like GIMP, VLC, etc. How I do this? I've seen Ubuntu Software Center, but in this methos the app goes to "Independent Tab"

Don't expect anything to happen quickly though. The packagers will need to be convinced that

1. Its stable
2. It Doesn't contain any malicious code
3. People want it.

If you sign the code of conduct etc, you can make a PPA. Are there no PPAs already with what you need?
