What was updated in past two days: need updated packages history...

Asked by tomdean

Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS

Linux P9X79 3.2.0-32-generic #51-Ubuntu SMP Wed Sep 26 21:33:09 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I ran update-manager and selected to update all packages listed.

Now, the appearance of xterms (I use X) is very different. The title bars and other borders are about 2x from before.

My environment has not changed since July 11, 2012.

How do I find out what packages were updated in the past two days?

Tom Dean

There are different ways, e.g.

software-center can display the history of the changes

/var/log/dpkg.log contains a log of the changes

Please read into

/var/log/apt/history.log

/var/log/apt/term.log
