Better to download 12.04 boot iso and use that to upgrade. Two benefits. First, you can try it out thoroughly from the boot-DVD and second, if the trial works OK you can move directly from 10.04 20 12.04 a little more easily. WARNING always backup absolutely everything before attemting any upgrade by any means. WQhen things are OK, that's fine. If things go wrong during an upgrade you could lose everything.

Grab the Natty alternate ISO, MD5 test it, mount it and you can upgrade easily using that.

If you intend to upgrade to Precise (Ubuntu 12.04) then it will be quicker and give a cleaner OS, if you simply reinstall with Precise and completely remove Maverick.

Can you help with this problem?
