I followed all the steps metioned in Ubuntu web site for updation. While I performed the "sudo apt-get update -o APT::Cache-Limit:25165624" command, i get the following errors.. The same errors occured while I used the "sudo apt-get update" command..
Here are the few things which i would like to describe:
1. Ubuntu 11.10 is installed and is running in Virtual machine inside Win XP.
2. In Update manager after i select the server to Main Server, update manager says "This computer has been updated three days ago" and the update list is empty. Before doing this setting, it showed 331 updates.
3. I run the laptop behind a proxy, and have provide the ip address and the port no in the system settings and pushed the "Apply System Wide" button and authenticated it.
4. I tried updating in my home (i.e without a proxy) then, update gets stuck by saying "Waiting for headers"
5. I tried updating through update manager, with source as "Server for India", i get 331 updates to be installed, when i click the install button, it says "requires installation from restricted sources"

Kindly check if my update is OK or not.
Also, there is one more problem which I face, the system time doesnt update correctly. There is always a time difference between the host time (windows) and the virtual machine (ubuntu).
Please help.
