Is it possible to save the application I have installed in my ubuntu 11.10 ??

Is it possible to save the application I have installed in my ubuntu 11.10 (for future use ) ??
For the answer of this question I searched through Google and found a link bellow. There are so many developer and programmer in this forum. I want to confirm is this link right ? Is this a useful technique ? Can Dejadup backup the applications ? Is there any other software for this purpose ?

Sorry sir . There is a mistake in my words. I want to save or backup all of my installed applications for future use. All are downloaded/installed from the software center.

You can use aptoncd. I suggest you tell apt-get to redownload the debs if you have cleared the apt cache. Otherwise aptoncd will make you a CD of the debs in the cache which you can transfer to another system.

all the application installed is saved at /var/lib/apt if I not mistaken.
you can safe all deb files for future use.
correct me if I wrong
