Will a live cd reinstall remove data from my 2nd hard drive, mounted in /media

When you'll reinstall Ubuntu, you'll lost only data stored on root partition (partition, that mounted to /). If you have separate partition for /home data you also willn't lose data on it. And you all data on 2nd hard drive would be safe.

Of course, you shouldn't choose "Remove all data and install" during installation when it ask you where to install Ubuntu. It would be better to use manual mode.

I messed up my system. I am getting a deb error:

I can&#39;t find any info on how to reinstall without wiping my disk and starting over. I have media files I want to keep; i have them in my 2nd hard drive. Will it be ok during reinstall if I un-mount it?

Will it remount without a problem?
