I did a normal update, and then it fails.
I had to do a sudo apt-get install -f in order to save my system

Hello
never force an install, better
sudo apt-get clean
and rerun update-manager
if the bug persist then report a bug here in Launchpad, but don't try to force an installation of a damaged package.
For any inconvenience i convert this report to a support request.
Thanks
Fabio

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if you are uncertain if they are bugs. For help on reporting bugs, see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#When%20not%20to%20file%20a%20bug.

You have a duplicated file in a package. The file:

/lib32/libncursesw.so.5.7

Is in both lib32ncursesw5 and ia32-libs. Can you give the FULL output of:

sudo apt-get -f install

and I can give the command to make the OS ignore this. You should also tell the guys maintaining the Wine PPA that they are breaking stuff as well as log a bug.
