Can't connect to WiFi

Asked by Tom Vandelaer

Hi,

I recently installed lubuntu, first WiFi was working and now I can't get a connection anymore.
It's a older slow laptop, not fast enough for Ubuntu and when I was running Windows I also regularly had problems connecting to WiFi, but then it helped if I putted it in sleep mode and back.
Now on lubuntu I keep on getting this:
[1411:1423:0909/220343.370440:ERROR:connection_factory_impl.cc(403)] Failed to connect to MCS endpoint with error -106
[1411:1411:0909/221150.452517:ERROR:gcm_channel_status_request.cc(127)] GCM channel request failed

To fix the Network Manager not showing up on the panel issue, from the Lubuntu menu select Preferences > Default applications for LXSession, then click on the Autostart tab and under "Manual autostarted applications" type "nm-applet", then click the "+ Add" button on the left. Then log out and log back in.

Can you help with this problem?
