Automatic crash reports and existing bugs (Apport) howto ?

When there is a crash on my Gutsy laptop, it sometimes asks if I want to send a crash report.
Actually, this happens frequently as Gutsy is still under development.

My question is:
Are these "automatic" bug reports i send actually received in launchpad to aid the developers if i do not file a new bug report?

So far, I have not found a way to attach my files created by the Apport tool (if I got that right) to an existing bug.
If this is possible, how is that done?

No, you have to fill a bug report to send your files.
