Hi,
can you install any other package via 'apt-get install' ?
Make sure your internet connection is working and that Ubuntu software sources (System->Administration->Software Sources) are enabled and set correctly.
Then put in 'sudo apt-get update' and try again 'sudo apt-get install apache2'.

Good luck.
