The results are as:

can you install any other package via 'apt-get install' ?
Make sure your internet connection is working and that Ubuntu software sources (System->Administration->Software Sources) are enabled and set correctly.
Then put in 'sudo apt-get update' and try again 'sudo apt-get install apache2'.

Good luck.

Also, please run sudo adept, goto repositories list tab, and make shure that appropriate repository in list is persist. (You can find right repository for apache2 with google)
