Standard ./configure Options

Asked by Levi Senft

I'm trying to recompile Apache using the BIG_SECURITY_HOLE flag so I can run Apache as root and do some debugging on a system that is causing Apache to segfault. I'm wondering if Ubuntu documents and stores the configure options used when the production package is created so I can match my build as closely to the Ubuntu build as possible.

You could get the source used for building apache with the command

  apt-get source apache2

I don't quite remember exactly where the build options / configure is, but probably somewhere in the debian sub dir.
