Problems with Apache2 Server

I have Ubuntu 11.04 on my VirtualBox pc. My apache2 server works perfectly fine on the virtual pc but on my actual laptop where the virtual pc is, when I type in the IP address of the virtual pc, all I get is a long wait and then a message "Connection Timed out". I tried ifconfig on the ubuntu system and am using that ip address. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Nevermind...forgot to go into virtualbox settings and activate remote desktop connections. Once I did that and typed ifconfig in ubuntu, I got a 192.... ip address...typed that into firefox on laptop and got into the server just fine.
