How to set up Joomla in Ubuntu

I have copied my Joomla Website(Suse) to my PC, running Ubuntu Linux - copied joomla files and the database.When running from the Browser it comes up with message "It works! The web server software is running but no content has been added yet".How do you resolve this ?
