Ubuntu 8.04 LTS 32-bits php/apache crashes on 32-bit system

Asked by Peter Vesely

I have been testing a PHP web application and Apache crashed with segmentation fault message in the error.log. This happens only on 32-bit system Ubuntu 8.04 LTS
installed packages:
* apache2.2-common 2.2.8-1ubuntu0.18
* libapache2-mod-php5 5.2.4-2ubuntu5.12

Tested on 2 servers with 32-bit system. Apache crashed on both with messages:
[notice] child pid 12904 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)

Tested on 2 servers with 64-bit system and it worked well on both.

Sorry for not giving you more details. It's not a big issue for me since I can run it on a 64-bit system, but if you give me an advice how to give you more information without spending hours searching through the code, I will be happy to do that.
