antennavis doesn't work on fresh install of ubuntu 18.04

Asked by Jack W Hallmark

I just installed ubuntu 18.04, and added programs related to amateur radio so i may use them.

I have xnec2 installed, along with antennavis ( and whatever support files were needed at the time ), but when I try to run antennavis ( by typing in the name in the search box ) the computer can't find it anywhere. xnec2 starts and runs each and every time.

Have tried the package installer, synaptic, and installing a fresh download via terminal, to no avail.

Thanks!

Strange. If you make a launcher to run the command on your desktop you can copy it to /usr/share/applications and it will show in the dash.
I suggest you report a bug.

For diagnostic purposes, what is the output of the following commands:

uname -a
lsb_release -crid
apt-cache policy antennavis
which antennavis
/usr/bin/antennavis

Can you help with this problem?
