amsn wont start

I have been using AMSN for approx 1 year with no probs until I try (unsuccessfully) to update it now it wont even start please help i get:

'Configuration file is corrupt. Creating new one. Old one will be saved to /home/pete/.amsn/psmouty_live_com/config.xml.old. Please end it to us to see what happened

Hi,
I've tried uninstalling AMSN and re-installing it with no luck (same error msg on startup)

Also tried re-starting PC with no luck

Use another client for msn pprotocol, as emesene or pidgin.

try to launch amsn from a console and paste this information. But before delete de configuration files with

sudo rm -rf ./amsn

and relaunch amsn

(sorry for my poor english)

thanks this fixed it i just have to run amsn as sudo from terminal!!
