as far as i know you cant get MS MSN Messenger, but you can get "pidgen Messenger". once istalled it should ask you to set up an acount.. just follow the prompts.

Now your "contacts list" may be blank at first, if it is, then go to Buddies > Show > (offline buddies)
and if youd like it to sort it just like MS MSN Messenger, then go Buddies > Sort Buddies > By Status

hope that answeres your question!

I suggest you to try amsn as well as pidgin.
This apps are native for Linux and many users use them to get msn access.

To install amsn

Open a Terminal from the menu Applications → Accessories → Terminal and type:
(if the system ask you a password give your user password, you will not see nothing when you type it, then press enter)

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install amsn

You will find amsn and pidgin under Applications → Internet menu.

Hope this helps
