I cant get my Ipod shuffle to work on Amarok

Asked by erik

Am running Ubuntu 8.04 and Amarok 1.4

Amarok wont recognise my Ipod shuffle when plugged in.

I have read some of the other previous questions and answers on this board, but to be honest I am not computer savvy enough to follow the instructions.

Can someone please explain step by step in plain english how I can get it to run.

Many thanks

If you mount the partition on the ipod you will be able to tell amarok to use it

Have you tried gtkpod?

You can run:

sudo apt-get install gtkpod

and it will be installed
