Collection will not build

I just installed amarok and my collection will not build. I'm running Ubuntu Feisty The files are all on my hard drive, nothing funny there. I'm using the SQLite feature, and that's installed as far as i can tell. I tell it where the files are and it tells me to be patient while it scans but the progress bar runs up to 100% in a few seconds and nothing ever gets into the collection. I've tried manually dragging folders up from the File tab but it tells me they "cannot be organised." What now?
