Flac

Amarok 2 cannot play flac files. Any suggestions? I have installed the extracodecs in the synaptic package manager. Tried to follow a suggestion from an old thread, as shown below, but thathat did not work.

sudo apt-get install gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly libxine-extracodecs

gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly is already the newest version.
Package libxine-extracodecs is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
However the following packages replace it:
  libxine1-ffmpeg
E: Package libxine-extracodecs has no installation candidate
