It would be easier to use a standalone application, for example gnomad2.

I suggest heading over to the Mint forums though, as although based on Ubuntu, it is not the same thing.

I did use gnomad2 but the dam this is so slow, and only can transfer musics, not folders.....and the interface is agriculture. Every time a have to access a folders with a few hundred files it that forever to scan the folder, that's why I'd like to use Amarok. It's my music "organizer" why not use it to organize my music in my mp3 player??? (if it can that is!!!!)

From what I understand from using a Creative Zen a fair while back now, it is not a true "MTP" player, so applications such as Amarok will not pick it up. Hence the need for packages such as gnomad2.

You can alter the settings for gnomad2 to allow transfer of directories, iirc.

I've solved the problem by getting a Creative Zen 4G instead (it's got a sd slot :D). But i did like Steve Rose said and look around the Mint forum and found this:

I think it may work for Mosaic to, but I'm happy with the one I've got.

Thanks everyone!

Ive just bought the Creative Zen Mosaic today and when i try to transfer music through the creative central application you get when you purchase the player, it says "No player is connected". Has anybody else experienced this problem? If so could you give me a hand in how to solve this please. Thanks
