Try using the gtkpod application. It's specifically intended for iPod's. gtkpod can be downloaded from Add/Remove...

Perhaps the error message is exactly the problem. Perhaps it is the actual video file that is corrupt. Do other video files work? And what format is this video you downloaded?

@matt: use avidemux to make files playable on ipod ( see screencast here http://www.vimeo.com/1400538?pg=embed&sec=1400538 ), then use "files" tab in amarok (right click -> transfer) to transfer it to ipod. It works like a charm w/ mine 3rd gen nano.

If anyone knows how to DELETE those (can't get the grip neither in amarok nor in gtkpod), please drop me a mess :)

starenka,
I will not work. I did the following....
Used Avidemux to convert a video to (IPod MP4) according to Avidemux. Saved the new MP4 video to a folder. Exactly as you showed in your video..how to...
Started Amarok and connected my IPod, and choose the file on the left hand side of Amorok.
Directed the file to my folder containing the video just converted.
Amarok do not show any files. How can I see the file (video). Do I have to save the video to an extension?

Hope you can help.....!!

hi bjorn,

this (extension) might be the only problem i can see in your attempt. Amarok shows ".mp4" for me. See here http://crap.starenka.net/ipod.png

Can you help with this problem?
