amarock 1.4.8 can't find x lib

Trying to install amarock 1.4.8. when running configure, get error "checking for X... configure: error: Can't find X libraries. Please check your installation and add the correct paths!"

I'm using kubuntu 7.10 (noob)

You will need all the packages listed with a red icon on http://packages.ubuntu.com/hardy/source/amarok
(package installation is explained on https://help.ubuntu.com/7.10/add-applications/C/index.html)

If you are using Gutsy (7.10) you can also use the backports package repository, how to active this is explained on help.ubuntu.com as well.
