full release dates in mp3s misinterpreted as just year

I tag my music MP3s with MusicBrainz Picard, which includes the full release date of the album in the track (2007-03-21, YYYY-MM-DD for example). However, when I see them in Amarok, the date gets mixed up (the year says 2103 - or DDMM). The irony is that Amarok has a built-in tool to fix the tags using MusicBrainz (though only including the year, YYYY). Is there a way that Amarok can parse those dates correctly from music tagged from Picard?
