Transfer formats have & in them

Asked by Jonathan M. Prigot

When I get ready to transfer files from my collection to my PMP, I can't because the formats have an & in them. Examples are &aac, &flac, mp&2, &ogg, etc. Amarok in Fedora 8 does not do this, although both are Amarok 1.4.7.

This bug has been fixed for Amarok 1.4.8.

A work around for 1.4.7:
open '~/.kde/share/config/amarokrc' in an editor. e.g.
  kate ~/.kde/share/config/amarokrc
and search for "supportedFiletypes=" (should it appear more than once - i.e. you have more than one device - just have a look at the top of the configuration block, there you can find the name of the device), now just remove the "&" from the effected file formats. Save the file and start amarok.

OK, that fixed it for the formats that I wanted. If I try to add a new format, the & is still in the name, though. However, I'll just know to edit the amarokrc file until 1.4.8. Thanks
