No audio control

Asked by maraessa

My volume's set up is at zero and I can't access the settings, they just don't open.
At first I tried to put the volume icon on the panel and that worked the first time, afterwards it disappeared and
now I can't get to it.
Can anyone help, please?

Assuming you run standard Ubuntu (not Kubuntu, xubuntu etc), you can open the gnome volume control manually by opening a terminal (click on programs, accessories, terminal) then write the following:

gnome-volume-control

...and press enter.

Can you help with this problem?
